May 7, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ The Public Works garages are located on Brazil Avenue. Turn north from 145th Street West between City Hall and the rail crossing. The site is not accessible from the lower parking lot at City Hall.
Join us as we observe the 24th Annual Rosemount Arbor Day. We will recognize the importance of Arbor Day with a brief program hosted by Mayor Droste. We will also be giving away trees from six-to-eight feet in height to residents of Rosemount. There will be a variety of tree species available. The trees for this year are Maple Fall Fiesta, Oak Heritage, Coffeetree Espresso, and Crab Pink Spires (all are subject to change). The first 180 residents of Rosemount who have proof of residency will receive a tree.
Due to limited quantity, there is a limit of one tree per household. Due to the sensitive nature of bare root trees, they will need to be planted within 24 hours of the giveaway.
Remember to call Gopher State One Call (651-454-0002) 72 hours in advance of digging. And be sure to plan before you plant – watch for overhead power lines. More information on problems associated with power-line obstruction can be obtained from Dakota Electric at 651-463-6212.
