On September 20, 2016, the Rosemount City Council approved preliminary City budgets for 2017. They will lead to an estimated $18-a-year increase in the City's share of property taxes for the median-valued home in Rosemount.

The Council will hold a public hearing on the budgets on December 6 at 7 p.m. before passage of the final version.

On December 1, 2015, the City Council approved budgets for the 2016 calendar year.

The City Council also approves a ten-year Capital Improvement Plan to provide long-term planning for major projects.
