The non-profit Open to Business is available to provide one-on-one business counseling to current and prospective entrepreneurs. The program sponsored by the City of Rosemount, Dakota County Community Development Agency and other County cities is at no cost to any County resident or business owner. Consultants work with you to develop a strong business plan, identify challenges and opportunities, and tailor solutions.  In addition to direct consulting, Open to Business program staff can link entrepreneurs with additional resources to help them succeed, including training programs, community or governmental services, and industry and business professionals. The Twin Cities Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides confidential business consulting services at no charge to help business owners develop strategies, attract customers, increase sales and improve profitability.  Most consultants have been business owners themselves and have advanced degrees.   Main office is in Minneapolis at the University of St. Thomas, with a regional office at Partners in Higher Education in Apple Valley.

Their experienced volunteer counselors bring expertise that can help you grow your current business or pursue your dreams of starting your own business.
