Elections will be held in 2014 for the office of Mayor of Rosemount and for two seats on the City Council.  [View Minnesota Secretary of State's database of candidates.]

Primary results
Update, August 15: The City Council certified the results of the primary election.  By a coin toss (see below), candidate Alba Nowlin was selected to advance with three other candidates to the November election.

From August 13: The primary election for two seats on the Rosemount City Council was held on Tuesday, August 12.  Four of the five candidates will advance to the general election on November 4.  Unofficial results show two candidates tied for fourth place in the primary.  

The City Council will hold a special meeting to canvass and certify the results on Friday, August 15, at 7:30 a.m. at Rosemount City Hall.  [View preliminary agenda and memos.]  The Council will conduct a lottery to determine the tie for fourth place.  After the Council’s action, the losing candidate will have five calendar days to request a recount of the votes at the City’s expense.

  • State Primary Election – August 12, 2014 - 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
