Overview

The Rosemount Youth Commission was created by the City Council in 2009 to give the community's young people a voice in the operation of their City.

The commission operates under a set of bylawsOpens a New Window.

Kindness Rocks

In 2019, the Youth Commission created a painted rock garden located in Central Park. With the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, they have made efforts to expand Kindness Rocks to multiple parks around Rosemount. Citizens are encouraged to participate by painting positive messages and art on rocks and adding them to to the rock displays.

Legacy Trees

Since 2015, the Youth Commission has planted trees each spring in City parks.
