The Citizens Police Academy provides Rosemount citizens and business people an inside look at the operation and services of the Police Department. This spring's round of the Academy is a joint effort with the Apple Valley Police Department.
Class sessions will alternate between Apple Valley and Rosemount on Tuesdays starting April 3 through May 22, 6 - 9 p.m. (One Saturday is also included.) The deadline to register is March 28.
Course topics include: DUIs, Crime Scene Investigation, Drug Task Force, Firearms demo, K-9, Use of Force, SWAT, and much more. Participants will also get to ride along with an Officer.
The program is free for attendees, who must be 18 years or older and currently reside or work in Rosemount or Apple Valley.
