Arbor Day Tree Giveaway June 6th at Rosemount Community Center Starting at 8:30 AM

We will be giving away free bare root trees from six–to–eight feet in height to residents of Rosemount. The trees this year are Red Sunset Maple and Heritage Oak (subject to change). The first 120 residents of Rosemount who have proof of residency will receive a tree. Due to the limited quantity, there is a limit of one tree per household.

Due to the current situation, things will look a bit different this year. There will not be a formal program. When residents arrive at the Community Center, please have only one person per household wait in line and practice social distancing. The line will form along the sidewalk along the arena. Please look for the sign that says “line starts here”.

Due to the sensitive nature of bare root trees, they will need to be planted within 24 hours of the giveaway. Remember to call “Gopher State One Call” 72 hours in advance at 651-454-0002 before you dig! Plan before you plant and watch for overheard power-lines. More information can be obtained from Dakota Electric at 651-463-6212.

This event is co-sponsored by Dakota Electric Association.

If you do have questions, please reach out to Lacelle at lacelle.cordes@ci.rosemount.mn.us or 651-322-6011.
