[ARCHIVED] Local Business Needs YOU!

Rosemount CARES logo

The pandemic has had a severe impact on many small businesses and reopening safely takes added commitment and investment. We want to show our appreciation to our local businesses for going the extra mile during a challenging time. We also want YOU to feel confident when shopping, dining and receiving services around Rosemount.

Businesses are required by the State of Minnesota to have a Preparedness Plan in place during the current pandemic. That plan may require extra safety precautions such as: limits on the number of people inside a business, social distancing protocols, establishing regular cleaning and disinfecting routines, and requiring staff to wear masks. While the Rosemount CARES program is not intended to be legal or health advice, it is meant to highlight the state and federal industry guidelines so that customers can feel safe while interacting at businesses in Rosemount.

Participating businesses will receive a Rosemount CARES window cling and marketing materials, designating their participation in the program. Watch for these images to start popping up at your favorite establishments. Interested business owners/managers should contact Eric VanOss to register.

You can help, too! Show your support by joining the effort. Together we can secure a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community.

  • Get Social. Social media is free advertising for your favorite businesses. Tag them in a photo, explain why you had a great experience or felt safe there, using the hashtag #RosemountCARES. Your endorsement might bring another customer their way.
  • Leave a review. Reviews are a quick and easy way to give credibility to a business. Leave a review on Facebook, Google, or Yelp. Your two minutes of effort is the best way to say thank you and give encouragement during a challenging time.
  • Tell Us. Were you really impressed by the changes made at a Rosemount business? Then reach out to us with your story. Tell us what they did to make you feel safe or offer you a great experience. We’ll highlight that business in our marketing efforts. Tag us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, @cityofrosemount, or email our Communications Coordinator at lee.stoffel@ci.rosemount.mn.us to nominate someone.
  • Respect the Guidelines. Stay home if you feel sick. Respect the policies of our local establishments. Wear a mask when possible. This is a tough time for everyone and we can make it easier by being supportive.
