Outdoor Rink Status Updates

Rinks are OPEN for the season! 

Although warming houses are closed until further notice, we have added additional picnic tables at the rinks for seating and putting skates on. Please respect others by social distancing. Please note, skating rinks will close after a snowfall until they can be cleared. City streets have first priority after a snowfall.  

Rink Hotline: 

Check the status of the rinks at anytime by calling: 651-322-6020, Option #6. 

Skating Rink Locations:

  • Central Park: 2893 145th Street West (pleasure skating only, NO hockey) 
  • Jaycee Park: 15425 Shannon Parkway  (pleasure skating and hockey allowed)
  • Bloomfield Park: 14225 Bloomfield Path  (pleasure skating and hockey allowed)

Normal Hours: 

  • Monday through Friday, 4-9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1-9 p.m. 

Warming Houses: 

*Warming Houses are currently closed under MN-Executive Order.*

If and when warming houses open, the closing policy is as follows: 

  1. If the temperature is -10 degrees, and/or
  2. If the wind-chill is -25 degrees F; or
  3. If snow accumulates on the rink and the rink has not yet been cleared. The City parks maintenance will clear the rinks as soon as possible. 
  4. If the temperature is warm and the rinks are covered with a significant amount of water.
